Equal treatment under the law and access to opportunity are the cornerstones of the American Dream.

We understand this simple truth as a fundamental building block of our country’s founding long ago…and of our individual liberty today.

Somewhere along the way, however, the government spurned the Constitution’s guarantee of liberty. We’re seeing an alarming rise in policies that curtail access to opportunities to earn a living and pursue a quality education, and others that discriminate by race, sex, or group entitlement to allocate burden or benefits for some at the expense of others.

At PLF, we believe in equal freedom for all. We fight to preserve every individual’s right to be treated equally under the law and to ensure equal access to opportunity. This means pushing back when the government illegally stands in the way.

In the third installment of our Emerging Issues series, you’ll hear about the biggest threats to equality and opportunity facing our country today and meet PLF attorneys battling on the front lines to dismantle unconstitutional barriers to opportunity and free individuals to rise based on their choices, character, and ability.
